Darkphobia is a 3D puzzle game in which you control a little girl who wants to turn off all the lights at home before going to sleep. The problem? Darkness scares the hell out of him. What's more, being in the dark terrifies her so much that if you stay more than a few seconds without being surrounded by light, an imaginary monster will take her away and you will lose the game, having to start the level from the beginning.
Very simple touch controls
The control system of Darkphobia, originally released on PC, is very well adapted to touch screens. With the left thumb you can control the movement of the main character, while with the right thumb you can interact with the light switches and the rest of the objects in the setting. By pinching the right side of the screen you can also zoom out the camera to get an overview of the whole house. This is very important especially at the beginning of each level, as you will have to see exactly where all the lights are located.
Logic puzzles with a dose of terror
The ultimate goal in each level of Darkphobia is to turn off all the lights in the house before going to bed. There are a number of factors to take into account, however. The first is that you can only flip switches if you are in a lighted area. That is, you will not be able to turn on the light in a room that is completely dark. Luckily, your protagonist can move for two or three seconds in the dark before the monster takes her away. Taking advantage of these few seconds is vital to beat most of the levels.
The perfect combination of puzzles and horror
Download the APK of Darkphobia and discover a genuinely original puzzle game, with a very interesting theme and an excellent visual section. The game is also completely offline, so you don't need an Internet connection to access any of its features; and it has no micropayments or any other intrusive monetization method. It is a complete game, with which you will be able to test your ingenuity.
Editor's opinion
Every day it is more difficult to find puzzle games capable of surprising you, but Darkphobia manages to do it. The main mechanic is simple enough to learn how to play in less than a minute, but becomes complex enough to keep you hooked throughout its eight levels.
